Project Coordinated by Matrix BasementsBasement Sauna, Basement Wine Storage, and More
Project Overview
Matrix Basements transformed an underutilized, unfinished basement into a fully functional, multi-purpose living space designed for both everyday use and entertaining. Starting from a raw foundation, the team built out a cohesive layout that maximized both space and flow.
The project included a custom wine room, home gym, kids playroom, bar area, and an open family room—each thoughtfully designed to serve a purpose while still feeling connected. Finishes were selected for both durability and style, creating a space that’s as practical as it is elevated.
The result is a complete extension of the home, built to be used daily and designed to grow with the family.
Results
The renovation turned an inefficient, seldom-used lower level into a comfortable, low-maintenance living space that meets the family’s needs for entertaining and everyday life. Improved insulation and a sealed drywall ceiling reduced dampness and drafts, while tile floors and quality finishes simplified cleaning and wear. The electric fireplace adds zoned, energy-smart warmth, and the custom wine room plus dedicated kids play room increased usable square footage and home value. Matrix Basements stands behind the work with its standard workmanship warranty, and the updated space delivers long-term durability and better energy performance for Lemont homeowners.
